Accidents during a holiday on a foreign land can be very traumatic. It is not only because of the possible injury that you might get but also with the possible disorientation you may have due to language or cultural barriers.
Though it is highly advisable to be prepared when in a holiday to a foreign country, accidents are sometimes really hard to avoid. If in any case you are hit with the discomfort that holiday accidents bring, below are a few of the things you keep in mind in making an accident claim.
First that you need to keep in mind when making holiday claims is that laws can be different from the country where you from. The laws of the country where the accident took place will govern the accident you are into during your holiday and their laws can be a lot different to your homeland.
UK residents or citizen must not forget that even if they will be subject to the laws of the country they are in, there are always UK organizations that are willing to support them. One of the great example of it is the 1992 Package Travel, Package Holiday and Package Tour Regulations that allows UK people to make UK based accident claims whenever they are injured during their holiday trips abroad.

I am pretty big on golf these days but the only problem I have with the game is that I don’t get to play enough! I am restricted to the weekends because of work, and even then, if it rains it is pretty much ruled out. My handicap would be much lower if I got the opportunity to play a bit more often, or that’s what I tell the guys at work anyway!
This year when my wife was discussing with me where we should go on holiday, I mentioned to her that I would like to go somewhere where I would be able to play a few rounds of golf. I knew that she wouldn’t mind this, because from what I could see, her and my daughter had no interest in anything other than sitting around a pool reading a book and getting as burnt as they possibly can!
We were trying to think of somewhere to go that would cater for both of us when I remembered a friend at work telling me about a golfing weekend he had been on to a place called Faro in Portugal My wife thought Portugal sounded very glamorous, so I decided to have a look at some prices on the internet. I came across some very reasonable flights to Faro right away, and I managed to find a nice four star resort with an outdoor pool which was only a couple of miles away from a local golf course! It was perfect for us and we booked the place on the spot!
